“–” means the wording we reviewed doesn't say. Overall score is the average of the questions we could answer; programs with fewer than four answers show “—”.
Carrier coverage isn't insurance.
UPS, FedEx, and USPS liability is set by their own terms. It isn't scored against insurers, but it's what every policy above sits on top of.
FedEx declared value
$50,000 per package for listed Express and Ground services; $500 for FedEx Envelope or Pak; $2,000 per shipment for FedEx SameDay; $1,000 for listed high-risk items.
Read the terms →UPS declared value
$50,000 per package ($70,000 for certain eligible packages; $100,000 per pallet). Lower caps apply in some channels, such as $500 for UPS Drop Box packages.
Read the terms →USPS insurance
$100 included on Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail and USPS Ground Advantage; up to $5,000 for Insured Mail (and for extra insurance on Priority Mail Express or Priority Mail); up to $50,000 for Registered Mail.

Each program is scored 1 to 5 on six questions, using only the wording we hold: master policies, certificates, partner terms, and filings. Claims made only on marketing or help pages are shown on each profile but never scored. We don't take money from insurers, and no program can pay to change its score.
